The City of LA came to Omelet to help Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Youth Council create an awareness campaign to help end gun violence. Working with passionate high school students fed up with thoughts and prayers, we created a wake-up call that made headlines not just in Los Angeles, but across the nation. This stunt-based campaign was comprised of donated OOH space, a guerilla 1800 hotline, and an action-driving website that garnered millions of earned media impressions. We may have shown these high school kids the power of advertising, but they showed us the power of a younger generation who actually gives a fuck.
