About

A mentor once told me creative advertising is 20% talent

and 80% endurance. I like to think I’m a solid distance runner.

(Figuratively speaking. Please don’t make me do cardio.)

Hey there, I’m Chelsea. Most recently, as Executive Creative Director at the Woo, I spent the past year repositioning the agency, shaping their mission, vision and narrative. It was a massive undertaking and something totally new for me and I loved every minute of it. I also overhauled their entire creative process (and TBH their entire agency process) to create better, more effective work for existing clients, as well as bringing on new clients and growing the creative department with smart, culture-minded talent who could help level up the quality and craft of our product.

Prior to that, I served as a GCD/Partner at Omelet. So I guess you can say I have a thing for small indie shops. There, I ushered in the relationship with YouTube, and also worked on brands including Netflix, Walmart and Princess Cruises. My final year there, we were “between” CCOs, which gave me the hair-brained idea that I could lead a creative shop in the first place because, well, I guess I was already doing it.

I built a good chunk of my career as a writer at CP+B LA, where I created an award show for the animated GIF, was recognized as one of the most Creative Women in Advertising, and helped win the PayPal and Hulu accounts. My work has been recognized by Cannes, One Show, and The Webby Awards. In 2016, I was named one of the industry's “Next Creative Leaders" by the 3% Conference and One Show.

When not at work, I serve as the National Marketing Director for the non-profit organization, Women For WineSense, which is dedicated to supporting women in the wine industry by hosting approachable, educational tasting events. I love wine and wine education so much that it is my side sport. My greatest endorsement comes from Steph Curry, who once during a VO session said “You're really good at this. Like, this is unreal", to which I replied, “Thanks, you're really good at basketball".
